Implemented Resolutions



Since the end of 2013 Sonthofen has a "Climate Protection Manager". The following projects are on the way :

3. improve the possibilities to be on the go without a car in Sonthofen and the surrounding area: Procurement of additional e-bikes for rent, promotion "Bike & Shopping", improve the bicycle lane connections and parking for bikes, expansion of bus-routes in the town, set-up of a car-sharing offer based on e-mobile in the cities' motor-pool, also connect that with cooperation with interested users and bigger employers in the city.

6. In the course of the revision of development plans the densification will maybe be promoted in order to strengthen the downtown development.

9. After the successful introduction of Fair Trade products in the city administration and different stores the goal is now to increase the acceptance of organic, fair and regional products amongst the population. This requires a shopping-guide, which shows the appropriate offers. Also from summer on there will be organic-fair-regional "cooking packages" for vacation homes provided.

10. On the "Biberhof", a recreation area without electricity, a PV & Bike Charging station is in development. This allows CO2-free mobility, presentation boards will also make it more comprehensible. Together with the Youth Parliament a car-free day or a day of intelligent mobility is planned for 2014 or 2015. In kindergarten and primary schools children playfully learn the most important energy consumers and how they can reduce energy consumption.
