YPAC 2006

June 9th – 11th in Innsbruck/A


At the very first YPAC in the capital city of Tyrol the participants discussed many topics and questions like "Who should manage the resource water? What impact does modern and traditional culture have on the lives of young people in the Alps? How can we make the Alps more attractive to young people? How much tourism can the Alps bear?" Over the three days of the parliament session they came to the conclusion that drinking water should definitely not be given into private hands.


Topics (allocated to four committees)

Committee 1: Water – an Alpine resource

KEY QUESTION: Who should conduct the administration of water?

Committee 2: Regional policy and tourism

KEY QUESTION: How much tourism is bearable for the Alpine region?

Committee 3: Economy and social affairs

KEY QUESTION: How can we improve the attractiveness of the Alpine region for young people?

Committee 4: Culture

KEY QUESTION: What impact do modern and traditional culture have on the life of youths in the Alpine region?
