YPAC 2025
March 10th to 14th in Rosenheim
General topic: Sustainable Life in the Alps
This year's four subtopics were chosen from the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that were adopted by all United Nations member states in 2015. The SDGs replaced the Millennium Development Goals, which had mainly focused on reducing extreme poverty and hunger in developing countries.
The new goals are an urgent call to action for all countries – developed and developing – in a global partnership to end all forms of poverty, fight inequalities and tackle climate change, while ensuring that no one is left behind.
Subtopics (allocated to four committees)
What measures have to be taken now to preserve Alpine water resources for future generations?
How can social, economic and political equality be promoted, irrespective of age, gender, ability, ethnicity, origin, religion or economic or other status?
How can we change the mindset of consumers and producers and make sure that both use resources responsibly?
Materials for preparation
For preparation of all committees we recommend the following publications of the Secretariat of the Alpine Convention:
RSA6: Greening the economy in the Alpine Region
or (for just a short introduction)
RSA6: Greening the economy in the Alpine Region – Executive summary
and RSA6: Greening the economy in the Alpine Region – Good practices collection
Here you can find a collection of good practices from all member countries plus transboundary projects.
